Please read these terms carefully. By creating an account or using FishIQ, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
By accessing or using the FishIQ platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. FishIQ reserves the right to update these Terms at any time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
The Service is available to users of all ages. Users under the age of 18 should use the Service with parental or guardian supervision. By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, or that a parent or guardian has done so on your behalf.
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
FishIQ reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are inactive for more than 24 months.
FishIQ offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no refunds are issued for partial periods except where required by Australian Consumer Law. Free trials, where offered, automatically convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless cancelled.
Payments are processed by Stripe. FishIQ does not store your payment card details. By providing payment information, you authorise FishIQ to charge the applicable fees to your nominated payment method.
You retain ownership of content you submit to FishIQ, including catch logs, photos, and community posts ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant FishIQ a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Service.
You must not submit User Content that is false, misleading, defamatory, offensive, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of others. FishIQ reserves the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms without notice.
FishIQ provides fishing regulations, size limits, and bag limits as a general guide only. This information may not reflect the most current regulations in your state or territory. You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable fishing laws and regulations. Always verify current rules with your state fisheries authority before fishing. FishIQ accepts no liability for fines, penalties, or legal consequences arising from reliance on information provided by the Service.
FishIQ's AI Bite Score and fishing predictions are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. They do not guarantee fishing success. Weather, tidal, and environmental data is sourced from third-party providers and may contain errors or inaccuracies. FishIQ accepts no responsibility for decisions made in reliance on AI predictions, including travel to fishing locations.

All content on FishIQ — including the FishIQ name, logo, fishing spot database, species guides, AI algorithms, and platform design — is the intellectual property of FishIQ and is protected by Australian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from FishIQ content without prior written consent.
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, FishIQ's liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. FishIQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses including lost profits, data loss, or personal injury. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by contract.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, unless you are a consumer entitled to bring proceedings in your local jurisdiction under Australian Consumer Law.
